-- battleground states after having their say at their first debate. 47% believe romney won compared with 34% for president obama in a survey of californians. 18% felt there was no clear winner. last night's debate focused on the economy and other domestic issues. and, of course, that debate took place in denver in colorado. colorado is a swing state. different surveys show mitt romney is the winner of the first debate. there are two more presidential debates coming up. bigad shaban has highlights. >> reporter: good morning. it seems like mitt romney got the boost he was hoping for after putting the president on the defensive for much of the night. romney touted his own accomplishments as governor of massachusetts but continually pointed to what he called the failed promises of the obama administration. >> reporter: the first presidential debate started with a handshake and a romantic moment. >> 20 years ago, i became the luckiest man on earth because michelle obama agreed to marry me. >> congratulations to you, mr. president, on your anniversary. i'm sure this was the most romantic place yo

romney head to key battleground states today after having their say at their first face-to-face debate. an exclusive cbs 5 surveyusa poll of adults in california shows that 48% believe romney won compared with 34% for president obama. 18% felt there was no clear winner. last night's forum in colorado focused mainly on the economy and other domestic issues. that debate took place at the university of denver, colorado being a big swing state in this election, as well. the focus of the debate was the economy. but big bird somehow got into the dialogue there. and, of course, as we mentioned, there were some polls that showed that romney came out ahead of the president on that first debate. bigad shaban joins us live from denver with some highlights from last night.
